Seal Hoods, and Door Weather Strips

These parts belong to one of the categories of vehicle sealing parts which are installed around hoods or doors. Seal hoods are located inside of hoods, and serve to prevent engine noise emission from vehicles. Weather strips are installed around doors. Functions of weather stripes include sound insulation, waterproofness, prevention of whistling noise during driving, and control of door tightness. As mentioned above, these parts are highly functional parts.

Features

1. Shape design
   It is possible to design products in a short development period by using CAE analysis for the following tasks: Deformations during opening and closing of hoods and doors are simulated; the effectiveness of sound insulation and that of waterproofing is verified.
   


2. Global supply system
   These parts can be produced in bases in Japan and other countries such as China, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam, and can be supplied on a global basis.

Functions

1. Sound insulation properties
   It is possible, due to the product design, to prevent noise from engines and outside of vehicles from entering automobiles.


2. Control of door tightness
   Due to the shape design that takes account of the strain properties of rubber, door slamming sound is controlled.
