FOR A SUISTANABLE HUMAN SOCIETY

Environmental commitment for a suistainable human society

In order to save the Earth's resources and protect the Earth's environment, the INOAC Group develops eco-friendly products using such as plant-devired materials and earth thermal heat exchanging systems, reduces carbon dioxide emissions due to production activities, regulates chemical materials, and devotes ade quate effort to realizing a sound material-cycle society.

ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCT

Products Using Biological Material

   Bio-seats and bio-seat-headrests

Automobile seat pads and headrests are made of urethane. In the interest of such intended uses, development is being pushed forward in which products are fabricated using raw materials originating from plants like soybeans and ricinus seeds, as alternatives to conventional raw materials originating from petroleum.

Personal computer parts using resins that originate from        plants

Front masks for personal desktop computers are produced by injection molding in which polylactic resin melted at high temperature is injected into molds.

As for conventional polylactic resin, crystallization speed was low, and it was necessary to use high temperature settings for molds with long-time in-mold retention. In the case of improved polylactic resin, workability and physical properties approximately equivalent to those of conventional petroleum-based resin raw materials are obtained, for example, in that crystallization accelerators are added.

Frame lamination polyurethane foam originating from           plants

Sheet members made by laminating outer surface fabric and polyurethane foam are widely used as outer surface members of automobile seats, headrests, etc.

The urethane above-mentioned foam is generally manufactured using raw materials that originate from petroleum. However, products in which raw materials originating from plants are used at high percentages (20% or more), have been developed while maintaining the physical properties of conventional products.

Bedding using raw materials that originate from plants

Attention is paid also to urethane foam that is used in products related to bedding. Thus contributions are made to the realization of a carbon-neutral society. In Inoac, a raw material (polyol) originating from a plant material (ricinus oil) is used as a material for pillows. Thus environment-friendly products are manufactured.

By using the above-mentioned raw material, the unique characteristics of the original urethane raw material were sufficiently utilized. Also, by adding Inoac’s urethane compounding technique, soft high-elasticity urethane foam like low rebounding stuffing was obtained.

As a result, pillows having a particular softness and a puffy feel were produced. Further development of environmentally compatible technologies will be promoted from now on by using not petroleum but original raw materials originating from plants.

   Polyurethane foam using scallop-shell powder

his product was developed in such a way that scallop-shell powder, which poses a problem as industrial waste at present, was used in polyurethane foam, resulting in an environmentally compatible product being developed. Scallop shells are reduced to powder, and this powder is incorporated into polyurethane foam, accounting for 25% or more. As compared to ordinary products, this product has the following features and is adopted for use in cushions and rubber foot covers for electric appliances.
